Witch hazel root leaf Aromatic Water

Hamamelis virginiana

Anti-oxidant, sun burn, wind burn, astringent, aging skin, puffy and lax skin...

When you smell this water, the first thing you may notice is the lovely delicate woody smell, unlike commercially distilled witch hazel which tends not to have any smell. Take on holiday and spray on insect bites, especially mosquito, for instant relief - combines well with chamomile for this. Also great for spraying on mild sunburn - mixes well with lavender water for this. Spray over the face and decollete daily for its astringent effect, or use as a toner for aging, mature or damaged skins. See also under creams. Suitable for children.

Witch hazel is a powerful anti-oxidant and is therefore useful in any situation where the skin is exposed to temperature extremes such as sun or windburn. It is well known for its astringent, drying action making it useful as a tightening face toner, as a compress for puffy eyes and in creams/lotions for weeping eczema or grazes.

Anti-oxidant, sun burn, wind burn, astringent, aging skin, puffy and lax skin, insect bites, hydrosol.
