This plant has a long tradition for treating heavy menstrual bleeding as in fibroids.
Avoid during pregnancy and lactation. Excessively heavy menstrual bleeding should be investigated by your GP. Best avoided by those prone to forming kidney stones - especially of the oxalate type. Due to the high tannin content, long-term use of shepherd's purse may reduce absorption of some nutrients.
