Saffron
What are the medicinal uses of Saffron? The Herbalist writes...
Much used in Ancient Greece and Rome, China and during the Middle Ages in Europe, but not really much used now as a medicinal herb due to its expense and the availability of other alternatives. Has been used traditonally to induce menstruation and to calm period pain, for indigestion, colic and abdominal apin, and as an uplifting herb. In large doses may cause miscarriage, therefore should be avoided in large doses in pregnancy.
