Safety Advice When Using Aromatherapy Oils
Always check for contra-indications before using any essential oils. Keep in a dark glass bottle in a cool place out of the sun, and out of reach of children and pets. Keep the oils away from the eyes. If oil gets into the eyes, bathe in warm salty water. If irritation continues, see a doctor. Never take oils internally or apply undiluted to the skin. Before using any essential oil, dilute to 5% concentration and test by applying a small dab of oil to the inside of the arm. Leave for 6 hours to test for reactions. If any reaction occurs, immediately wash the oil off the skin and do not use.
