Peppermint water may be used externally as a cooling spray for razor burn, hot flushes, hot itchy rahes and insect bites. It is ideal as a mouth wash (combines well with cardamom for this) and as a compress for muscle and nerve pain, bruises and contusions. Those with delicate skins should undertake a patch test as peppermint can be a strong water to use on the face. It makes a superb cooling and deodorising foot spray.
