Ovulation in Women who have stopped Menstruating
I have read an article in a magazine today re the above new Japanese herbal medicine called "unkei-to". It induces ovulation in women who have stopped menstruating & can help women who suffer from Polycystic Ovary Syndrome also. The potion is a combination of 12 herbal drugs, including ginseng, cinnamon bark, angelica root & ginger, improved the menstruation cycles of over half the 100 women tested. I wondered if you had this potion in stock? The herbalist writes ...
Lack of ovulation due to the menopause is a a natural process and does not need treating with either drugs or herbal rememdies. Having said that, many menopausal women find that their periods are more regular again when they start treatment with herbal medicine. Lack of ovulation when not due to the menopause should be investigated and the underlying cause (such as weight loss due to anorexia or stress) treated by a qualified medical herbalist. Conditions such as polycystic ovarian disease are also best treated by a practitioner as some herbs are contra-indicated in this condition. General menopausal symptoms can respond very well to self-help with herbal medicine - please refer to the article on the website. Most Western Herbalists do not use or advocate the use of mixtures as they believe in treating the individual and working with a clear diagnosis wherever possible.
