Agrimony herb makes a refreshing astringent tea, ideal for bowel problems characterised by loose stools and diarrhoea. It has a tonic action on the stomach, liver and gallbladder and can help to reduce excessive mucous production via the bowel and respiratory tract. Excellent for indigestion characterised by fullness, bloating and poor assimilation of food.
Avoid in constipation and obstructive bowel problems. Seek medical advice if diarrhoea persists for more than a few days, if passing blood, or if the diarrhoea is a new symptom.
